Buena Onda - Balearic Beats is a lovingly compiled collection of exciting music from the new Balearic generation that captures the essence and eclecticism of their Berlin party oasis, Buena Onda. It takes in 12 tracks of fast and slow, acid and downtempo, lush and dreamy sounds to transport you to a place of beauty, warmth and soul.

It has been compiled by Hell Yeah label boss Marco with Buena Onda 's resident DJ and co-owner Gallo, and arrives later this summer as a 12" sampler, limited cassette, download, stream and original t-shirt. Exciting artists such as Lucas Croon, Sergio Messina & The Four Twenties, J-Walk, Willie Graff & Tuccillo, Quiroga, My Friend Dario, Black Spuma and more all feature.

Buena Onda is known around the world as a hotspot for Balearic music. It is a cult and regular party that started in Bologna in 2014 with the aim of showcasing, sharing and exploring the spirit behind Balearic music. Plenty of key local and international players in the scene came to dance, swap sounds and play DJ sets on Musical Box on national Radio 2, which helped the party gain a mythical status.

When Marco moved to Berlin, he took the event with him and it soon became a similarly respected gathering at Cafe Futuro in Neukolln, with hardcore music lovers always in attendance and a great vibe from start to finish. Buena Onda is currently happening at Arkaoda Berlin and the 5th birthday last November with Phil Mison was a now legendary road black affair, and a new series was supposed to start this spring before Coronavirus halted plans.

Instead, a celebration of this evangelistic Balearic party now comes in the form of this vital compilation, with a slick t-shirt to match. 10 of the tracks on it are brand new, with two classics included, and they all showcase Marco and crew's "balearic gabba" approach to this sort of emotive and grown up party music.

This is an essential overview of the musical magic that goes down at Buena Onda.
