Enzo Elia is a DJ and producer born in Italy and based in Berlin. Since 2004 is producing his own music, keeping on a full collaboration with Hell Yeah Recordings (he's a steady member of the infamous Balearic Gabba Sound System), at the same time he worked as producer also for Be As One, Lion1 and many others and as remixer for producers like Roland Clark, Oliver Koletzki and Umek.
Many important DJs feel and play his music - like Prins Thomas, Michael Mayer, Carl Cox, Kenny Larkin, Osunlade, DJ Hell and the list goes on and on... Since 2009, he is also working together with music producer Roskow Kretschmann on a new project under the name El Freakadell, which is all about Disco, Soul, and House, with a retro-feel. Their first work “I got you” has been released legendary Compost label.
Florian Meindl is a DJ, producer and sound designer from Austria, based in Berlin too. In addition to numerous collaborations with international artists, he is busy with producing remixes for Röyksopp, Hot Chip, Dave Seaman..., running his label Flash Recordings and composing new music. By now you can find 20 releases with many guest producers such as Pan-Pot, Shlomi Aber, Christian Smith, Popof, Wehbba and Ramon Tapia. Till now his productions have been released on labels such as Trapez, Herzblut, K7, Kling Klong, Tronic, EMI France, Boxer, Hell Yeah, Great Stuff and his own imprint.
Every year Florian is working on a main project, on a milestone, in 2012 it clearly was his debut album Waves – in 2014 he will move into the new Riverside Studios Berlin and start new collaborations – exactly like this very special one with Enzo Elia.
"If you didn't know, Hell Yeah is the Italian label hell-bent on releasing the best modern disco(ish) you can find.
Sometimes it's blissed out and Balearic, sometimes it's squelchy and down-right weird and sometimes it's the sort of enlogated, tribal stuff that works dancefloors into a salacious frenzy" (Kristan J Caryl - DJ MAG January 2014)...more
