Cult Adriatic legend Verdo is back on Hell Yeah Recordings with an EP that shows off his uplifting and sunny piano house style with lashings of heart and soul.

Verdo is a DJ, producer and promoter who has long been entrenched in his local scene. As the director of Senigallia’s ‘Gratis Club’ - set in the deeply historical port town in Italy on the Adriatic coast - for 20 years, he has submerged himself in alternative and left of centre sounds. A deep digger and selector with a widescreen view, he is a majestic keyboard player in his own right, showcasing his skill across this sublime trio of cuts.

Opener 'Prins' gets your head up and your hands in the air from the off. Sumptuous piano chords dance energetically across smooth house grooves, while wispy synth leads dart about in space adding a cosmic edge. 'Boulevardier' has a driving disco feel with rugged arpeggios and an epic breakdown that lights up the night with bright chords. Feel-good vibes and dance floor dynamite are packed inside the closer 'I Want It’. It’s a sun-kissed mid-tempo summer groove with bittersweet keys and 80s vibes that are all vying for your attention.

Pedro Bertho dwells in France but hails from Brazil. He dropped his Le Lien EP on Hell Yeah in the Spring, and on Verdo’s ‘Prins EP’ Pedro brings a tropical twist with his version of ‘Boulevardier’. His rework is pumping, with loose breaks and stiff hits sitting next to next to a melon-twisting lead, upping the energy before the signature piano chords kick in and take off is finally achieved.
